FEW ACHIEVEMENTS

(During previous year 2000-2001)

CAMPUS RECRUITMENT :

The college conducted Campus recruitment for the final year BBA students on 4th November 2001. It was held in association with Prof. Jeevan Gopal, Centre for Organizational Intervention, Chennai. 25% of the students have been selected for Chennai based firms.

OFF-CAMPUS INDUSTRIAL TRAINING :

An Industrial Training Programme was conducted at Aluva, Cochin (Kerala) to bring in a better understanding of Business Operations along with facilitating project completion of the students. It was held under the guidance of Mr. Bijaya Kumar, Mr. Sri Kumar of Cochin & Mr. R.K. Panda (Placement Officer, CBA).

INDUSTRIAL VISIT :

Students attended an Industrial Visit at Visakhapatnam. The other areas visited were appolo Tyres, Travencore, Cochin Chemicals Ltd. Kolkata Port Trust.

NEWS BULLETIN :

The college has published all regular issues of the CBA News Bulletin that features the latest happenings regarding academic activities and other related developments. The first issue was published on 1.11.1999 and the other issues were released subsequently.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING :

The college has the credential of conducting pre-campus recruitment training for the final year students who could be placed in Chennai based companies basing on the qualitative inputs given by professional experts from the Industry.

CEREBRATION OF 3RD FOUNDATION DAY :

The college celebrated the third foundation day on 1st November with successful remarks of parents, academicians & professionals. Students who excelled in different activities were recognised & rewarded. Among others, Sri P.K. Chand, IAS (Addl. Secy. Education, Govt. of Orissa) ; Prof. Jeevan Gopal, Principal, NIHRD, Chennai ; Sri B. Mishra, SP, Berhampur were the guest on the dias. The Programme ended with professional show & bonanza performed by the students.

STUDENTS PARTICIPATION IN NATIONAL SEMINARS :

The selected students of the college could avail the opportunity of participating in National Seminars, Training Sessions, Live Projects etc. in different capacities by bringing laurels to the institution.

ACHIEVEMENT IN SPORTS :

Being actively participating in different sports activities conducted by Berhampur University, few of the students availed the distinction of being selected in the Cricket Team to represent the Inter University Cricket Championship.

INTERDISCIPLINARY PROFESSIONAL APPROACH :

Under Career Advancement Plan (CAP) our BCA & BBA students got the opportunity to complete their interdisciplinary short term course of AICTE-CEP (Govt. of India). This shall add a special feather to their cap of professional success.

SEMINAR & SYMPOSIA :

Academic seminars were conducted during the year 2000-2001 under aegis of eminent visiting professors & professionals which included topics on Marketing Challenges and Prospects in the Electronic Age, Managing Organizational Change, Role of Communication in Management, Trends of Operating System in Software Development, Management Excellency in the New Millennium etc.
